Musaba scoops Michael Plumb Award!

9 May 2024

Anthony Musaba has been crowned as the 2023/24 Michael Plumb Player of the Year.

The award is named in memory of long-term supporter Michael Plumb who generously bequeathed a donation to the Owls in his will when he passed.

Michael was a regular traveller on the Inter City Owl and the award is based solely on away performances.

Musaba, who joined the Owls last summer, enjoyed a strong debut season and chipped in with eight goals in all competitions, seven in the Championship, and five assists.

Supporters on the Inter City Owl have voted in favour of Musaba, who will now have his name engraved into the trophy.

The 23-year-old is only the second recipient of the award after Lee Gregory was named the winner in its inaugural year last season.

Away from Hillsborough, Musaba made vital contributions in Wednesday’s fight for Championship survival.

A stoppage-time winner at Stoke in December was amongst the highlights, while Musaba was also on target in vital wins at Millwall and QPR.

Congratulations, Musa!
