Will Vaulks voted Owls Player of the Year

9 May 2024

Owls midfielder Will Vaulks has been voted as the swfc.co.uk 2023/24 Player of the Year!

Supporters have had their say via the club’s official website and Vaulks has come out on top with 29% of the vote.

The 30-year-old was a vital cog in the engine room all throughout our battle for Championship survival.

In total, Vaulks made 37 appearances during the campaign.

As well as receiving the supporters’ vote for the main club award, Vaulks was named as the PFA Player in the Community for the 2023/24 season.

It was the third time Vaulks has received the award for continuing to go over and above what is expected from players in terms of community activities.

He was also voted as the SODA (Sheffield Owls Disabled Association) Player of the Year last week.

The top three results are as follows:

1. Will Vaulks 29%,
2. Barry Bannan 17%
3. Di’Shon Bernard 15%.

Earlier today (Thursday), Vaulks received his trophy at Abbeydale Golf Club.

Wednesdayite Mat Bell (above, right), who won a charity auction prize of a game of four-ball with Vaulks, presented the midfielder with his award, together with fellow Owl Andrew Woodward!

Money raised from the auction will head to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, a cause, of course, very close to Will.

We would like to thank Abbeydale GC for hosting us this morning and give our congratulations to Will on the award!
