Owls Under-18 duo Jarvis Thornton and Bruno Fernandes have made the February LFE Goal of the Month shortlist.
Eight goals in total have made the list and two wonderful strikes from Thornton and Fernandes are in the running.
First up is Fernandes’ strike in our Under-18s’ 4-1 victory over Coventry at Middlewood Road on Saturday 3 February.
Wednesday were a goal to the good at the break before Fernandes rounded off a neat team move with a blistering top corner effort early in the second half.
Thornton’s eye-catching strike from range earned our academy side a point away at Burnley in a 1-1 draw late last month.
Way out on the right flank, the captain spotted the goalkeeper off his line and took full advantage with a high looping hit that dropped nicely underneath the crossbar.
