The Owls signed exciting forward Ian Poveda on a loan deal for the remainder of season in January.
The Colombian international joins from Championship club Leeds United.
Poveda is a tricky winger on either flank who can also play his trade inside and strengthens Wednesday’s attacking options.
The 23-year-old brings a rich grounding to S6, having been on the books of football giants Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona and Manchester City.
Poveda moved to Leeds in January 2020, going on to make 25 appearances for the Elland Road side.
He has also enjoyed temporary spells with Blackburn Rovers and Blackpool, posting a further 36 appearances and chipping in with three goals.
Eligible internationally for both England and Colombia, Poveda was capped from Under-15 level through to the Under-20s with the Three Lions before receiving a call-up to the full Colombian squad and has two senior caps to his name.
