Tuesday was a night to remember for three young Owls on the international stage.
Joey Phuthi, James Beadle and Pierce Charles represented Zimbabwe, England Elite League Squad and Northern Ireland Under-21s respectively.
Phuthi posted his international debut for Zimbabwe at the Bingu National Stadium in Malawi.
The S6 academy product came on from the bench in his nation’s 3-1 friendly defeat to Kenya.
Phuthi has enjoyed a productive season in S6, having trained regularly with the Owls first team and making his senior debut against Coventry in December.
Elsewhere, Beadle was handed the honour of wearing the captain’s armband as the Young Lions posted a 3-1 win against the Czech Republic in the Elite League.
Across Europe in Serbia, Charles made his first start for the Northern Ireland Under-21s as they came from behind to record a 2-1 victory in a European Championship qualifier.
Congratulations lads!
